Mr. Bode Adeosun, the father of Miss Bukola Adeosun, the girl, who was abducted last Tuesday in Mushin area of Lagos State has announced his withdrawal from the councillorship race in Odi-Olowo Local Council Development Area, LCDA, Lagos.
Adeosun’s daughter, Bukola was reportedly kidnapped four days to her 20th birthday by unknown gunmen while running errand for her mother in the evening.

Later on, Bukola’s abductors through phone-call got in touch with her father, who was All Progressives Congress, APC, councillorship candidate in one of the wards in Odi-Olowo LCDA, demanding his withdrawal from race as their condition for releasing his daughter.
Sources said subsequently the APC councillorship candidate held consultations with political leaders and security agencies. And at the end, announced his withdrawal from the race.
He was said to have been sighted going around his Ward to remove all his campaign posters.
Report said on Wednesday the kidnappers released Adeosun’s daughter after warning him not to go back on the agreement they had with him.
It was further gathered that this was the second time Adeosun would be forced not to contest an election.
The Lagos State local government election is scheduled for July 22.
