A Nigerian soldier has landed in military custody after appearing in full uniform on a TikTok live session, begging popular content creator King Pedro for money and admitting he had not eaten.

The soldier, attached to the Nigerian Army Aviation Hangar in Minna, Niger State, was reportedly arrested at the 234 Battalion in Badagry, Lagos State, where he was staying.

According to SaharaReporters, which cited a senior military source, the arrest followed a viral TikTok exchange in which King Pedro allegedly blasted the soldier instead of giving him financial help.

“What happened is that the soldier begged King Pedro for money online on Saturday. Instead of helping him, the civilian insulted him,” the source reportedly said.

The source also claimed that another young soldier was similarly mocked by the TikTok influencer during a separate live session after revealing he had spent just one year in the Army.

“I don’t know whether they have arrested that other one, but this one is a senior soldier. Only God knows his fate now,” the source added.

In a video recorded after his arrest and seen by this medium, the soldier identified himself, saying he was being held at the 234 Battalion in Badagry and was attached to the Nigerian Army Aviation Hangar in Minna.

Before his arrest, the soldier appeared on King Pedro’s TikTok live wearing his military uniform. When asked if he had eaten, he replied: “Yes sir, I have not eaten.”
