Popular Nigerian TikTok star and streamer, Hamzat Habeeb Adelaja, better known as Peller, has opened up about a family drama that reportedly unfolded around his recent wedding to fellow content creator, Amadou Elizabeth Aminata, popularly known as Jarvis.

Peller, who tied the knot with Jarvis in a highly publicised wedding ceremony on August 1, 2026, expressed frustration over the conduct of his separated parents, accusing them of turning his big day into another social media spectacle.

Speaking during a livestream, the young content creator said he was particularly unhappy that both parents attended the wedding with their respective partners despite his earlier warning against inviting too many people.

According to Peller, his father arrived with his girlfriend while his mother came with her boyfriend.

He also described his family situation as difficult, saying the separation of his parents and the growing presence of family members on social media had become exhausting for him.

Peller said, “A polygamous family is a very bad thing. My father and mother invited so many people. After I warned them not to invite many people, can you imagine? My father came with his girlfriend, while my mother came with her boyfriend.”

He added that virtually every member of his family had become involved in social media, leaving him increasingly frustrated.

“All my family have turned to social media: Papa, Mama, my brothers, everybody. I dey vex for all of them, and I changed it for them. I’m tired,” he said.

The comments have added another layer to the social media drama surrounding Peller’s wedding, which had already attracted enormous attention before the ceremony.

Peller and Jarvis had earlier completed their traditional marriage rites in Benin City, Edo State, where Peller fulfilled the customary requirements, including payment of the bride price.

The pair subsequently formalised their union in a civil ceremony on July 29 before proceeding with their white wedding.

The wedding itself had been the subject of intense online interest, with Peller previously revealing that about 400 guests were expected to wear the official aso ebi, while the eight-yard package was priced at N700,000.

Peller tackles father’s gay rumours

The streamer also used the livestream to address speculation about his father’s sexuality after a photograph of the older man lying on a bed with another man circulated online.

The image reportedly triggered claims on social media that Peller’s father was gay.

However, Peller dismissed the speculation, insisting that his father was simply making videos when the photograph was taken.

Rather than confirming the rumours, Peller blamed his father for sharing such personal moments publicly and said the decision to put himself on social media had created room for people to misinterpret the situation.

“I blame my daddy for putting himself on social media. My dad was on the bed making videos, and you people started calling him gay,” he said.

The comments appeared to be aimed at putting an end to the speculation, rather than providing evidence for the claims circulating online.

From family tension to wedding spotlight

Peller’s family has remained part of the public conversation surrounding his relationship with Jarvis, largely because the couple have documented much of their journey online.

The pair’s relationship grew through their social media collaborations before Peller proposed to Jarvis and the couple began preparations for marriage. Their traditional wedding in June was followed by their civil ceremony in July and the eventual white wedding in Lagos on August 1.

Peller also made headlines during the wedding preparations after revealing the high cost of the official aso ebi and warning prospective guests against attempting to attend the ceremony without the designated fabric.

With the wedding now over, however, attention has shifted from the glamorous ceremony to Peller’s candid revelations about the people closest to him.

His latest outburst has once again thrown the influencer’s complicated family dynamics into the spotlight, with social media users now debating his decision to publicly discuss his parents and his father’s controversial viral photograph.
