The fairytale wedding gift that was meant to mark a new beginning for content creator Habeeb Hamzat Adelaja, popularly known as Peller, and his partner, Jarvis, has been thrown into controversy after a land ownership dispute surfaced over their N400 million Abuja mansion.
The luxurious, fully furnished mansion, which was presented to the newlyweds during their wedding ceremony as a grand gift from real estate mogul King Ochacha, is now at the centre of a legal battle over the ownership of the land where it stands.
The property, located in the Life Camp area of Abuja, was reportedly handed over to the couple in a lavish display that attracted public attention, with many celebrating the gesture as one of the biggest wedding gifts in recent times.
However, fresh documents obtained by newsmen indicate that the land housing the multi-million-naira mansion is allegedly part of a disputed parcel currently before the court.
Urban Paradise Estate, in a petition, claimed that the land was among areas allegedly encroached upon by Paul-B Homes Limited, which later sold portions of the property to Ochacho Estate, Silas Homes, NLG Cooperative and other developers.
According to the estate, Paul-B Homes allegedly entered the property without authorisation and began selling plots behind Ochacho Estate in Life Camp.
The dispute has reportedly moved to the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Apo, Abuja, where it is being considered in Suit No: CV/116/2026.
Urban Paradise Estate alleged that despite being served with court documents through substituted means, Paul-B Homes Limited has continued construction activities on parts of the contested land.
The development has triggered concerns among property investors and stakeholders, with the estate warning that ongoing activities could undermine due process while the court determines the rightful ownership of the land.
Calling for urgent intervention, Urban Paradise Estate appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, to direct relevant authorities to stop further development on the disputed property until the court delivers its judgment.
The estate stressed that the matter remains sub judice, insisting that no party should be declared the rightful owner or blamed until the legal process is concluded.
It also urged prospective property buyers to carry out proper investigations before investing in the area, warning that those already developing properties on the disputed land should seek legal guidance to protect their investments.
The controversy has now cast uncertainty over the high-profile mansion gifted to Peller and Jarvis, a property that had initially become a symbol of love, celebration and luxury following their wedding.
