A 21-year-old student of Bamidele Olumilua University of Science and Technology, Ikere-Ekiti, Adebiyi Kehinde Adeola, has gone missing, sparking a police search for his whereabouts.

Adeola, a 100-level student of the institution, reportedly left his residence in the Abete area of Ikere-Ekiti on July 3, 2026, and has not been seen since.

The Ekiti State Police Command, in a statement issued on Friday by its spokesperson, SP Abutu Sunday, said the student left for an unknown destination and never returned home.

Concerned relatives and friends have reportedly made frantic efforts to locate him, but all attempts to establish his whereabouts have so far proved unsuccessful.

The police described Adeola as about 1.69 metres tall, light-complexioned and without tribal marks. He is said to speak English and Yoruba fluently.

The Command said it had launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his disappearance and appealed to anyone with useful information to come forward.

Members of the public who may have seen Adeola or have information about his whereabouts are urged to report to the nearest police station or contact the Ekiti State Police Command on +2349064050086.

The police also appealed to Nigerians to share the missing-person alert widely to help reunite the student with his family.
